Three Little Birds

Well, I know we have a few more months but I went ahead & took the liberty of bargain hunting for cribs & nursery bedding.  Hey, we need the essentials for when the call comes, right?  PS - Average time for adoptions right now are about 4 months for our liaison company (Adoption Information Services) - YIKES!  We told them "not until after Tara graduates" ... but really, if the call comes, we want to be ready! So anyway, we ended up finding an amazing deal on a crib on Craigslist.  Disclaimer:  Made sure it wasn't on the recall list & that it was new & safe...chill out people!! ;)  Here's Justin setting it up! Ok, so many of you have been waiting to see what all this secrecy and mystery was about........ So I could leave you guessing...... But I won't!   We're Adopting!! We haven't been matched to a birthmother yet, but the liaison company we are working with pretty much guarantees placement within 12 months.  So we will be holding our baby before Christmas (and most likely way before then!)! We are so very excited to be able to share our love with a sweet child.  We have sooooo much to do to get ready (including fundraisers - anyone wanna buy a cookbook?!?!).  This blog will be a busy one over the next few months as you follow our journey to becoming parents and we're excited to share this with you. Ok, ok. I know.  I've been a bad blogger.  I'm sorry!  So much has happened but so little can be said at this point.  ~I've got a secret~  There are some BIG things in the mix right now for us.... nothing to do with fertility really (and no, I'm not pregnant).  But just know that when the time is right we will update you guys on what is going on in our lives.  :) Our Christmas was fantabulous (is that a word??)!  I am enjoying some much needed time off from school, but the frenzy begins again in less than 3 days!  But on the bright side, I will be a Nurse Practitioner in about 7 months!  .::*Cheers erupt*::. Here we are at the New Year's Eve Party for our awesome youth group at Whitley!
