Meet Little McLamb

Image
Just thought I would post some pics of our sweet sweet baby on the way!!  The birthmom sent these to us with her phone, so the quality is so-so.  But we are already in L-O-V-E!!!  :)  The pictures are in the mail on their way to us - can't wait to see them in person.  And more importantly, can't wait to meet our Little McLamb.  God is so good, and although this waiting is so so hard, I know that He is faithful and has him/her in His hands until He can put her in our arms.

Chosen Child Adoption Fit Bands ... & MORE!!!

Image
So many of you have been so generous by asking how you can help beyond buying a cookbook for our adoption.  We prayed & the Lord answered by guiding us to Worthy of the Prize !  I contacted Erin from WOTP to see how to order these amazingly CUTE fit bands and she actually emailed to see if we were interested in being a featured couple.  It was like the Lord plopped this amazing opportunity in our laps- He is so generous and takes care of His own, doesn't He?!?!  Here's the link to see us on their website/blog !  SOOOOO Excited!!! What is a fit band, you ask??  Here's the answer... (ummm you gotta click on the word "here's" haha)  :) Here's what the fit bands look like:  Here's what the lanyard looks like (it will just have the look of the fit bands with the sayings on it): Here's what the half loop looks like: Here's what WOTP says about how these Chosen Child products came to be: And why is it so special?? This band represents th...

November Baby!!

Well many of you are friends of mine on Facebook, so you most likely already have heard our fantastic news.  But for those of you that have not heard.... I thought I would share!  :) We have been matched with a birthmother!!!!!! She is due Nov. 5th and is from Oklahoma City, OK!!  We've known for several weeks now and almost every day I'd ask Justin, "Can I announce it to Facebook & my blog????"  And every day, he'd say, "Let's wait a little longer."  So I am ecstatic to let you know of our good news. Please continue (and even escalate) your prayers.  She still has the ability to change her mind, even after the baby is born (until she signs irrevocable consent) - although we're pretty sure her mind is made up.  The birthfather is in prison, and might possibly contest the adoption once out (but the lawyers state he has nothing to stand on, since he has not shown the birthmom any support).  There are many challenges I'm not mentioning...

Show Us Your Life - Baby Names

Image
This week at Kelly's Korner's "Show Us Your Life" we are telling our baby names we've picked out.  This is a topic I LOVE to talk about!!  However, I am hesitant to share for 2 reasons - 1) I don't want anyone to steal them.  Really.  I am a little psycho about it. haha  2) They're our names, but everyone always has an opinion on them (good or bad) - my father-in-law does NOT like one of the names we've picked out and he makes sure to tell us ALL the time.  If you don't like the name - GET OVER IT!! :) haha.  It's our baby & therefore our name. With that disclaimer behind us, let's get to the chosen baby names, shall we?? We would love to have used our family names, as I am very close with my family (and so is Justin) ... BUT our family names are more comedic than useful!!  For example - here is a list of family names that we are NOT going to use.  Beware:  you may laugh! Mermon - Justin's dad's middle name Danny - J...

Nursery Decorating

Image
Anyone who knows me knows that I love love LOVE to decorate my home.  I really should have been some kind of interior designer/event planner, seeing as that is what gets my blood really pumping!  Over the years my tastes have changed, so no doubt when I look back at the nursery we'll create for our little one, I will think, "I should have chosen a different color _______" or whatever.  But for now, I am getting lots of ideas from great websites and we are getting excited about our Little McLamb's nursery!  Here are some inspirational pictures from HGTV's Rate My Space, one of my favorite blogs  (Young House Love), and other places.  I'll tell you what I love about each photo. What I love:  The quiet simplicity.  The blue walls.  The initial/name over the crib.  One of my favs overall. What I love:  The mural.  I'm not usually a mural girl, but I'm loving this one. What I love:  Everything!  The wall color.  The...
