My Own Cardboard Testimony

I usually take one night a week to catch up on the week's blogs that I follow.  Tonight I read Kelly's Korner... a fantastic blog.  One of her titles was about "Cardboard Testimonies" which contained a youtube video of cardboard testimonies a church did.  Let's just say when it got to the end, I bawled.  You'll see why.  Here's the link to that blog - http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/2010/02/im-sure-most-of-you-have-seen-this.html.  Be sure to read all the comments - they made me cry too.

Whitley (my church) also did their own cardboard testimonies a year or so ago (I wasn't there yet).  I found it on YouTube. It is so good!!  Don't forget to pause the music to the right so you can hear the music in the video.

So I will take this opportunity to think about what the front of my cardboard would be... wow, it would definitely be long.  But I'm so glad the story doesn't end there!!  The "back" already is amazing... I still have my uterus, even when experts at the best hospitals in the nation told me I needed it removed.  I was told my endometriosis would be debilitating and beyond-belief-pain and my only choice was a hysterectomy... Today, after many prayers from all over the world, I am completely pain free, still have my uterus, & am expecting to adopt a baby in less than a year.   God is so good!

What would your testimony be?  Can you say that the back half includes Jesus Christ?

Here's to hoping that the "back" only gets better! :)

  1. I watched all these last night and was in tears! It was so moving and inspirational! I rejoice with you for your testimony too!

My Cardboard Front: Born to a single mother with serious mental and emotional disorders who verbally threatened suicide and could not cope with parenting her two kids. Wondered if I would inherit her condition and what kind of mother I would be as a result!
Back: Saved by Grace, loved and cared for by two Christian parents and now the proud Mommy of an amazing little boy!

Love ya girl! I do want to meet your little one when he or she arrives so be forewarned that I might have to visit!!!
