Top 11 of '11

OK, so I caught the blogging bug again while reading my friend's blog at The Schmidt Story tonight.  So Cindy, I'm a copycat ;)  But I wish I could say I have watched some good movies (2012 resolution I guess?)!!  And on another note, I am saddened by the reality that I have not blogged since June... JUNE?!?!  Ok, another 2012 resolution.  But what can I say?  2011 was fantastic, busy, in a word... a whirlwind....

10.   Purchase I thought was going to be overrated but ended up being fabulous:
iPad

09.  The one thing I always said I wouldn't be... that I became:
"That parent" whose child's toys takes over the living room :)

08.  The biggest surprise of 2011:
Justin kept a "baby face" for more than a week (now it's 3 weeks and counting!)

07.  The one time waster I discovered that is more addicting than crack:
Pinterest.  'nuff said.

06.  The thing I think I missed the most (besides my family time) this year:
Running.

05.  The biggest challenge in 2011:
Learning how to shift from taking orders (as an RN) to giving them (as a Nurse Practitioner).  Learned SO much my 1st year as a practitioner!!

04.  The biggest party of the year:
Zane's 1st birthday party!  Boy, was it a lot of work, but totally Ohdeedoh worthy! :)

03.  My favorite moments of the year:
Zane learning to "give love", give high-five, walk, and say "mama"

02.  One of the saddest moments of the year:
Giving away Abby, our sweet little Westie.  She deserved a family that could give her the love and attention that we could not.  Kind of put our adoption in another light, from the other side of things.  I think about her almost every day.  I hope your new family makes you happy baby girl.  Mama misses you...

01.  The one constant:
God's love and forgiveness.  I know it sounds cliche, but incredibly true words.

I am hoping that 2012 will be even better than the amazing year that the Lord blessed us with this year.  I am looking forward to making some changes through my resolutions, and hope to blog about them soon!!  I need to blog about an update on the adoption as well as Z's birthday party, so be looking for that soon!  =)  Happy 2012!
