Waiting for your match - the dresser - vintage finds!

Not too much going on here... Just getting the nursery ready & waiting for "the call"!  Girls who are waiting for your birthmom match -- YOU have been on my heart really heavy today.  I have been in prayer for you.  I know how hard it is to wait on God's timing.  It's really hard.  I know, we only had to wait 3 months before getting matched, but I also endured 8 years of infertility, difficult surgeries, and heartbreak, so I know the pain and impatience that waiting can bring.  Hang in there.  God has a child with your name on it.  Quite literally. :)  He knows this child's name, his/her birthday, his/her hairs on their head!  Claim your promise today from the Lord and hold on to it.  You will use this story as a testimony.  And this baby will come home to you.  It's just a matter of time.

On another note, we have been working on the nursery and the dresser that I posted about forever ago is STILL a work in progress.  Apparently, it was made by hand, because long story short, we flipped the cabinet fronts around so as not to have that "routed out" 70's look - to have a flat surface instead... well apparently now they don't fit because they're not square or something!  OMG.  What an ordeal.  The hubby has almost lost his religion (and I know I did!!  haha) trying to do this dresser.  We actually thought about just going and buying a new one but that seemed so wasteful after buying this one and spending money to work on it.  So I WILL post pics once the final product is complete, but not until then..... because right now it looks ... um, well... pitiful :)

Our birthmom has an appointment on Tuesday!  Her first of the weekly appointments!!  We are getting so close!  I've been washing his little clothes so we can pack them for OKC, and it makes it all the more real.

Another nursery update... been looking for a vintage fan.  Found one on Craigslist and while there, the guy let us rummage through his old house looking at other stuff.  I was like a kid at Christmas, saying, "I want this and that and this, and this too" :) HAHA!  But we did hold back and only came home with these 2 things for the nursery.  Sorry for the graininess of the iPhone quality pics.
Vintage fan for only $30 - had to be majorly cleaned up but cute!
This looked like it had been covered by mud for thousands of years.  But now all cleaned up, it'll serve as a cute caddy for diapers, wipes, baby powder, etc.  And only for $20!
But I will be back!!  I just love going shopping for old vintagy things!  We also got a cute mobile off of eBay...  I love how it matches the bedding and was wayyyy cheaper than most of the modern mobiles I was digging.  Still maintains that modern look (no cheesy Winnie-the-Pooh for me!) combined with the cuteness factor for baby Z.
