Day 3... the hardest one yet
So today was a tough day for us to be honest. We started out at breakfast, with me having a little breakdown b/c we still hadn't heard from T. and we were getting very down and out. Our moms were here to offer sound advice, but just like Christie's comment on Day 2's blog post, Satan was using this opportunity as a foothold to put lies in our heads. Christie, you will never know how God used you today with your comment. You spoke such truth that we needed to hear and I am so grateful you allowed God to use you to encourage us.
So we chilled out a bit, reminded ourselves that God is in control, and just decided to call her around 10:30 am to invite her to lunch. She didn't answer, so we left a voicemail - this was call #2 and text #4 since not hearing from her 2 days ago. We had faith that she would call us.
So we spent all day today trying to keep busy. We went to the OK City Bombing National Memorial (which we did when we visited last, but my mom had never been and we love how peaceful it is there!!). Then we went to Bricktown, which is kind of like downtown but very nice! We posted pics from last time we went to Bricktown (canal, remember?). :)
It was a nice day until we pulled into our hotel parking lot and realized it was 4pm and we had not heard from her! So cue breakdown #2. haha. I say haha but really it was a tough afternoon for us. We prayed for a bit, and felt a little better. Long story short, we FINALLY heard from her (after 2 days of NO word), but we had to call our lawyer & her best friend before we got up w/ her. I know that it has to be tough for her and I cannot pretend to know what she's going through. I'm just so glad we heard from her, that she's ok, doing good, and still committed to the adoption.
So, thanks for all of you guys' continued prayers & support. We need them! :) We are trying to stay strong, but it is easy to talk about and harder to actually do. We are holding on to the promise that our little baby boy will be in our arms soon!
Love,

Tara,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that the Lord calmed your heart (even if it was short-lived) and so sorry that you had another bad day. BUT, you heard from her...yay!!!
Keep us updated! Can't wait to see and hear about your new addition.
I know the waiting is hard, trust that the Lord's will is perfect!
Love,
Christie
