Day 4 in OKC
Well today was a lazy day for us - we laid around by the pool (the water's too cold to get in but the daytime temps are around 87 degrees & beautiful!) pretty much all day. We did hear from our birthmom today - she actually started having heavy pressure and went to the hospital to be checked. They sent her home (again!), and she's still only dilated 2 cm. They said they can "feel the baby's head" according to her own words... now L&D nurses, does that mean she's at a certain "station" or "effaced"?? Haha. I'm showing my lack of knowledge in L&D nursing! :) Still no regular contractions, so again we wait.
But today we have both been in a much better state of mind, and surrounded ourselves with positivity, not only from your comments on Facebook & this blog, but also from the Word. I am so thankful for friends and family who have been given the gift of encouragement. This child will certainly know each of your words and welcoming excitement!!
Tomorrow we have planned to have lunch with T. & the grandmother of this child (it's the birthfather's mom) around 12:30pm. Hopefully this will happen. I say that because sometimes T. is not very consistent in her plans :) I pray that this meeting does occur, because we want the ability to allow God to give this grandmother peace through meeting us. We want her to see how much we will love and cherish this child.
A couple of passages that have ministered to me today:

A couple of passages that have ministered to me today:
"So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord!"
Psalm 31:24
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9)
Welllll... at least we know Baby Zane is beginning to settle into the pelvis! Totally explains all of that pressure "T" is feeling. Very miserable, but completely normal with multips. Your pelvic muscles lack the "support" they used to have with subsequent pregnancies. I'm sure she feels like he is going to fall out any minute ;)
ReplyDeleteLittle Z will come when he's ready though - and in God's perfect timing ;) Just look at it this way... each day he remains inside "T's" womb he is growing stronger and healthier - and even more PERFECT!!!
In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
Hang in there girl! I know the suspense is absolutely killing you, but it's going to be soooooo worth it in the end :D
You are such a special person Tara, and God's grace radiates all around you! I know He has GREAT things in store for you!!! I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am to watch your dreams come true ;)
What can we ever say to such wonderful things as these? If God is on our side, who can ever be against us? Since He did not spare even His own Son for us but gave Him up for us all, won't He also surely give us everything else?
Romans 8:31-32

One thing is for sure--when you hear other mothers talk about their labor--YOU will have your own labor story complete with labor pains--instead of an epidural YOUR painkiller is God's word and promises :-) John and I are in Salisbury for a historic home tour this weekend but the last thing I thought and prayed about last night and the first thing this morning was ALL of you--and will continue to pray with all my might.

ReplyDeleteGod is gracious, God is good. He is our strength when we feel we cannot go on, even for one more second. Hold on for He is doing something greater than we can humanly comprehend. I am praying for not only your family but Zane's biological family as you meet today. I pray for peace and understanding for all. Peace, the peace of God. Remember, God has you inscribed in the plam of HIS hand so He is in constant reminder of you and your needs. Love and prayers to all.
