Hotel as "home" for now

We were discharged from the hospital today!  Hooray!!  One more step towards coming home to NC.

T. was actually discharged before lunch.  She came by to say her goodbyes and held him, kissed on him, and told him she loved him & that she hoped he had a fantastic life.  I held it together pretty good.  She didn't cry, but she was definitely more loving towards him today.  She was amazing.  She gave us the letter she wrote to him that we will one day read to him when he's ready.  I think he already knows how much she loves him.  We'll make sure he knows.

Here I am in my "Going Home" outfit!

Family self portrait :)

Mommy & me!  Mommy is wearing the Chosen Child necklace from Cap's Creations here... it's engraved with his name.

My first car ride... kinda bumpy - OKC needs to spend some money on their roads!!
So now we are back at the hotel while we wait for progression legally.  The attorney states that the birthmom may not be able to have an arraignment until the beginning of NEXT WEEK!  OMG.  Really hoping they can get it done ASAP.  Not just because we are ready to be home (I think we've established that fact by now!) but also for T.'s sake.  I can't imagine just waiting and waiting for an entire week ... all the thoughts, emotions (magnified due to being postpartum anyway), and even not-so-supportive external factors/people with their own opinions.  So while we are super ecstatic to have jumped this hurdle, we are still pretty much on pins & needles waiting for it to become more official.  Continue to pray for us (for patience with each other - being new parents is challenging [haha], for patience with the process itself), for Zane (he continues to feed well, and is giving us lots of practice with diaper changes!), and for the birthmom.  Pray for favor with the court system, as well as the other family members here in OKC that want to fight this adoption.  We know that God is faithful, that He loves our new family because He put it together, and that he loves T. and wants the best for her.

Thank you again for the love, prayers, support, comments & messages, emails, texts, and "virtual" hugs!!! :) We can't wait to bring this little guy home & introduce him to "Nawth Cackalacky" & all it has to offer.

Here are some pics we just took at the hotel.  Excuse the lack of makeup on my part (hence the black-&-whites hehe).

Love,
