That's what I love about Sundays

We didn't waste any time after getting home in taking our little Zaney to church!  He attended his very first church service this past Sunday (Nov. 7th)!  We even got there early (shocker to many of you, I am sure)!!  We knew our little rock star would have many fans wanting to get a look at the most anticipated baby!  Here he is in his little outfit - thanks to Aunt Lauren & Uncle Brooks (& Ellisyn!)!



I cannot tell you how awesome it was to finally be with our church family again.  I will never take it for granted again.  Each song rang truer than ever before.  Each word I sang aloud reverberated within my heart with the thanksgiving I wanted to give to my Savior.  As tears streamed down my face and hands raised high to "You Are Here", "The same power that conquered the grave lives in me!  Lives in me!  Your love that rescued the earth lives in me!  Lives in me!"... I began to realize that this same power was the one that made a way for me & my family.  This same power put hedges of angels around us and kept us from harm.  This same power not only raised Christ from that tomb 2000 years ago, and not only performed COUNTLESS miracles for the McLamb family, but also lives within ME.  We have that incredible death-defying, miraculous healing, and insanely crazy loving power inside of us!  Isn't that just amazing that He loves us just that much!

My eyes are heavy with the haze of anesthesia as I feel the weight of a warm post-op blanket cover my body. I’m suddenly aware of the pain. And then my eyes shoot open and I slur with a heavy tongue and a raspy voice to my husband there at my bedside in the sterile recovery room, “Is it over?! What did he say?!” There’s a pause and a sigh and I suddenly feel a weight in that moment, you know that heaviness of a moment that you know will change your path from here on out. “Babe, he said there’s nothing he could do…” Hot tears stream down my cheeks and the pain of a surgery meant to pave the path towards bringing life into this world is now a dead end. It was my 4th surgery to restore order to my uterus and ovaries, which were a tangled mess of endometriosis & scar tissue from a condition known as Asherman’s Syndrome.
